LANSING, MI — University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing is celebrating the arrival of Adaline Clough, the hospital’s 2025 New Year’s baby! Born to Trevor and Natalia Clough of Eagle, baby Adaline made her debut at 1:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1. She arrived at 39 weeks, weighing 6 pounds, 9.8 ounces.
Both mom and baby are doing wonderfully, the hospital reports. Adaline is the third child in the Clough family. As this year’s New Year’s baby, Adaline and her mother were gifted a car seat, a cozy stuffed animal, books, baby blankets and more from the UM Health-Sparrow Foundation.
Meanwhile, McLaren Greater Lansing announced not just one birth, but two births minutes apart on New Year’s Day, January 1. Kenneth Young was born at 4:18 p.m. on Wednesday to parents Chelsea and Kenneth Young of Mason. Two minutes later, McLaren Greater Lansing welcomed another new year’s baby, Hayes Wicker, born at 4:20 p.m. to parents Courtney Burtch and Reese Wicker of East Lansing.
Both families are recovering and doing well and received welcome baskets from the labor and delivery department, The Birthplace, at McLaren Greater Lansing.
