OAKLAND COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Oxford High School shooter will not be resentenced.
An Oakland County judge Thursday denied Ethan Crumbley’s request for a new sentence as well as his request to withdraw his guilty plea.
Crumbley pleaded guilty to multiple counts of first-degree murder after killing four students and injuring six others and a teacher in a shooting at Oxford High School in November 2021.
Crumbley’s current attorneys had hoped for their client to be resentenced, saying his former attorneys didn’t do a good job looking into mitigating factors like Crumbley’s cognitive deficits during his trial.
