RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – There were no injuries, but a house in Kalamazoo County’s Richland Township is likely a total loss after a fire Saturday afternoon.
The home is located on M-89 near North 28th Street. The fire was called in by a passerby as the residents were not home at the time.
The Richland Township Fire Department and multiple neighboring departments responded.
The exact cause of the blaze hasn’t been determined, but fire officials say there were a number of space heaters in use at the home.
A dog was rescued by firefighters.
