JACKSON, MI — The City of Jackson today issued a boil water advisory for its resident residents who live within the City of Jackson. Parts of Blackman Township, Leoni and Summit Townships are also under the advisory.
City officials say there was a malfunction at the Water Treatment Plant that could cause bacteria in the water. Residents are being asked to use caution. Any tap water should be boiled for at least one minute before using. This advisory will stay in place until at least Sunday, Dec. 15, or until further testing is completed.
