LANSING, MI – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning to 7:00 a.m. Thursday. Snow expected is expected to begin late tonight with total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches through Thursday morning. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph Wednesday night causing blowing and drifting snow.
The NWS advisory says roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Visibility and road conditions may change rapidly through the duration of the advisory. This will be lake effect snow, so accumulations will vary widely and more snow will fall west of Lansing toward the Lake Michigan lakeshore area.
