SHERMAN TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 29-year-old man on several felony charges after a deadly crash Monday in Sherman Township.
Deputies say the Vicksburg man was going west on Banker Street when he hit and killed a ten-year-old child who was walking with other school-aged kids.
Police say he told them that he did not see the children in time.
Deputies say they had received a report that several children had been hit.
Lifesaving measures on the ten-year-old were not successful.
No names have been released.
The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned today.
