KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Western Michigan University and Kellogg Community College are teaming up to help train people for high-tech jobs with new training programs for electric vehicle and semiconductor production.
WMU College of Engineering and Applied Sciences dean Dr. Steve Butt says they believe the program will help students understand electric vehicle and semiconductor technology and prepare them for higher-level educational experiences.
Financial help is coming from Ford, DENSO Corporation and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to the tune of four-point-seven-million-dollars. The programs will start next year.
