KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Water and sewer rates will be going up January first for the residents in 11 communities using city of Kalamazoo water, and 22 municipalities connected to the sewage plant.
Kalamazoo Public Services director James Baker says that will amount to an increase of about $5 a month, beginning with the new year.

Baker says all the money it gets goes back into the system.
