KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Democratic state Senator Sean McCann of Kalamazoo is encouraged that incoming state House Speaker Matt Hall has a road funding proposal that will be introduced after the next session begins.
McCann says he was glad to see the Richland Republican put forth his idea.
Hall is promising that the state’s School Aid Fund will not take a hit from his road funding plan and if it is, they will replace that money with income tax revenue, restricted funds, or corporate income tax.
Hall is hopeful Democrats will embrace his plan or work on it to make it better.
McCann made his comments on WKZO Kalamazoo Mornings with Ken Lanphear.
