KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – October 29th, 2024 was a record breaker across western Michigan.
Forecasters say several cities broke heat records yesterday.
Grand Rapids saw a high of 79 degrees. That’s warmer than the old high of 77 that was set back in 1901.
Kalamazoo hit a record high of 80 degrees, breaking the record that was set for October 29 in 1999.
Muskegon hit 75, Holland hit 79, also setting new records.
Forecasters say it will be almost as warm today, before temperatures drop to fall-like norms over the weekend.
