PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Now that early voting stations have opened, you may want to pass along the experience to the next generation.
Portage city councilmember Jihan Young says that’s right, it might be a good idea to take your kids to vote.
She says it’s a great educational opportunity for them what it’s like, so that when their turn comes, it will be something they have already experienced.
Early voting stations won’t be crowded, but she says take them on Election Day if you want to give them the full experience.
The early voting stations are located at the Douglass Community Center, the Fetzer Center, the Parks Department near the library in Portage and the Expo Center at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds.
