HOPE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State Police are investigating a Barry County Sheriff’s Office deputy-involved shooting that killed one person Monday night.
Deputies were responding to a domestic situation involving a gun in Hope Township in the 7000 block of Kingsbury Road near M-43.
The sheriff’s office has not released the name of the person who was shot and killed and have not released information about what led to the shooting.
The deputies have been put on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
The Barry County Sheriff’s Office says there is no threat to the public.
