KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Public Service Commission has awarded the Kalamazoo Nature Center a $1.29-million grant that will be used to add 24 electric vehicle charging stations along with four electric bike charging stations.
The grant will help KNC build new EV infrastructure that “moves us closer to our goal of becoming a carbon-neutral organization by 2035” according to president and CEO Heather Graves.
The chargers will be installed on the main campus of the Kalamazoo Nature Center at 7000 North Westnedge Avenue.
The work will take place from mid-November until mid-August of 2025.
