EAST LANSING — Michigan State University has announced plans to Stripe the Stadium when it opens the season against Florida Atlantic next Friday night. The school is asking fans to dress in green and white depending on which section they are seated in. Even sections should wear green and odd numbered section should wear white. You can see the stadium diagram at www.msu.edu/sports/football. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
The night time spectacle will paint the stadium in alternating swaths of green and white as the Spartans begin their first season under new head coach Jonathan Smith. The team is in its final week of preseason camp.
The team named five captains earlier this week – sophomore quarterback Aidan Chiles, redshirt junior running back Nate Carter, sixth-year graduate defensive lineman Maverick Hansen, sixth-year senior center Tanner Miller, and fifth-year senior linebacker Jordan Turner.
