Downtown Lansing bridge work to cause detour

LANSING, MI — Navigating between REO Town and downtown Lansing will be more challenging over the next month or two. The City of Lansing’s Public Service Department says the Washington Ave. bridge over the Grand River will close to traffic beginning Monday Aug. 5. Repair work is being done on the bridge until late September.

Here are the posted detours: NB traffic will be detoured east onto Baker, then north on Cedar and west of Kalamazoo. The SB bridge detour will map drivers east on Kalamazoo Street, south on Cedar and then back west on Baker Street.
