KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department announced Wednesday that they have arrested two suspects in connection with an attempted murder that occurred early Monday.
A 44-year-old Portage woman and a 36-year-old Kalamazoo man are charged with assault with intent to commit murder, kidnapping, armed robbery, and drug charges.
The Criminal Investigation Division of the Department indicated that no other suspects were involved in the incident.
The victim, a Kalamazoo woman, was assaulted in the early morning hours of July 1 in Comstock Township, and suffered life-threatening injuries.
She is recovering at a Kalamazoo area hospital, where she is expected to survive.
The two suspects are currently lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail pending arraignment.
