KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Heat will continue to bake west Michigan through the rest of the week.
Consumers Energy officials have some tips for people to try to keep their power bill as low as possible.
Brian Wheeler is a spokesman for the utility and says people should use their air conditioner, but adjust the temperature to be a few degrees warmer.
He says that can change the energy bill by as much as three-percent for every degree they raise it.
Wheeler encourages people to run the AC in the morning and at night and not during the heat of the day as much.
