CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A Marshall man has been charged with numerous criminal sexual conduct counts following an investigation by Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Detectives.
They interviewed a suspect on Wednesday in connection with a criminal sexual conduct complaint after an out-of-state agency notified the Sheriff’s Office about an alleged incident in Fredonia Township.
The suspect, 79-year-old William Haroff, is said to have cooperated with detectives and confessed to several occasions where sexual assaults took place with under-age victims.
Detectives are in contact with those victims. Haroff was arrested and lodged at the Calhoun County Jail.
He was charged by the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office and arraigned Friday on 12 counts of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and six counts of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.
