ALBION, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A body that was discovered on Tuesday afternoon in the Kalamazoo River at Albion has been turned over to the Calhoun County Medical Examiner.
The Albion Department of Public Safety said in a post on their Facebook page that they responded at about 1:30 p.m. to the waterfall near Haven Road.
Fire departments from Marshall, Sheridan Township and Albion Township as well as the Calhoun County Dive Team, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department and the Michigan State Police all responded to assist in removing the body from the water.
Officials with the Albion Department of Public Safety say they have no further information and have not been able to identify the individual.
