KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo city commissioners have approved requesting $110-million in a loan from the state’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund for water system improvements.
The plan received final approval last night.
$51 million will be spent on consolidating several water stations and building a new consolidated iron, manganese and PFAS removal station.
Another $46-million will extend the city’s public water supply in Richland and Ross townships to address residential wells that are contaminated with PFAS.
