CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – There’s an opening on the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners.
District Three Commissioner Kathy-Sue Vette is resigning as of May 23 after 14 years of service to the county.
Vette has also served as the Chair of the Summit Pointe Board and Calhoun County Visitors Bureau Board, and was a member of the Goguac Lake Control Board and Battle Creek Local Development Finance Authority Board.
An application is now available on the Calhoun County website, http://calhouncountymi.gov/commissionervacancy for registered voters and residents of District 3 to apply for the vacant seat through the remainder of the term ending December 31, 2024.
Applications will be accepted through June 7. Eligible candidates will be interviewed during the June 20 Board of Commissioners meeting. One will be selected by a majority vote to become the District 3 Commissioner immediately upon taking the Oath of Office.
