KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 16-year-old from Kalamazoo has been arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home for robbing a gas station in Parchment early last Friday morning.
The Township of Kalamazoo Police Department says their own investigation and help from the public led to the arrest. They also say during the interaction with the suspect, officers found the suspect in possession of a concealed weapon.
The Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office authorized Armed Robbery and Carrying a Concealed Weapon charges. The Armed Robbery charge could carry a penalty of up to life in prison.

The robbery happened last Friday around 6:30 a.m. and the suspect fled the area in a vehicle. There were no injuries.
