WASHINGTON D.C. (WKZO AM/FM) – Dozens of local veterans will be heading to Washington D.C. this weekend on the annual Honor Flight.
The Talons Out Honor Flight will be flying 26 veterans and their guests to D.C. Saturday, where they will spend the day visiting the memorials dedicated to the country’s servicemembers.
The National Honor Flight organization partners with the Talons Out Honor Flight to provide the trip to veterans in the 16 southernmost counties in Michigan.
More than 1,300 veterans in southwest Michigan have flown on the honor flight.
