OKEMOS,MI — After several days of speculation about his job security, Meridian Township Manager Frank Walsh has announced his resignation. Walsh had come under fire for his management style and for allegedly mixing township business with his own private business dealings. Walsh also owns a township consulting business.
Media Partner 6 News WLNS in Lansing reported extensively this week on complaints from employees and its investigation into Walsh’s handling of the position. It’s expected Walsh will continue to consult the township.
Under his contract with the Township, Walsh was paid $160,823 a year plus benefits.
