LANSING, MI — Well now, mother nature is going to smile on mid-Michigan today. We are just a few hours away from the 2024 Solar Eclipse, and the forecast is looking really good.
Media Partner 6 News WLNS says we could see a few high-level, thin clouds develop across the area by early afternoon, but they will likely not obscure our view of the sun. The Storm Tracker 6 forecast is for highs in the low 70s, nearly 20 degrees above normal for early April.
The solar eclipse will begin in Lansing at 1:56 p.m. and then be at its peak around 3.12 p.m. this afternoon. It’s expected to end around 4:25 p.m.
