MATTAWAN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Bill Schultz of Mattawan will testify today before the U.S. House Financial Services Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee on the Security Exchange Commission’s proposed climate disclosure rule.
The subcommittee is chaired by Congressman Bill Huizenga of Zeeland and the hearing will start at 10:00 a.m.
Schultz is the vice president of Schultz Fruitridge Farms and is a third-generation farmer and entrepreneur.
Huizenga’s office says he will talk about how the SEC’s proposed rule will negatively impact family farms in both the state and the nation and increase costs for consumers.
