OTSEGO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — West Michigan ski resorts remain closed as the weather has not cooperated.
Bittersweet Ski Resort in Allegan County was open for two days at the end of November and had about 600 people skiing on those days, but they have been closed ever since.
Cannonsburg Ski Area in Kent County has not been able to open yet as the temperatures got too warm after they made a bunch of snow in November, and it melted.
Bittersweet’s general manager Nick Ross says the weather for them has been getting worse every year and it will still be mid to late December before they are getting back to being open.
