KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Now that the new Judge Charles A. Pratt Justice Center is open in downtown Kalamazoo, what is going to happen to the two courthouses that have been vacated?
Local developer PlazaCorp now owns the old courthouse on Michigan Avenue, just off Bronson Park.
We asked Kalamazoo County Administrator Kevin Catlin if he had been told what their plans were for it.

The city owns the building at Crosstown and Burdick, a former Sears and Roebuck store, that already is Kalamazoo Public Safety headquarters.
Assistant City Manager Rebekah Kik says they plan to renovate the now vacant half, partly to expand Public Safety and the rest will be shared by their Community Planning and Economic Development and I.T. departments.
