MILAN (Reuters) – Representatives for Italy’s top flight soccer clubs approved on Monday bids worth in total 4.5 billion euros ($4.8 billion) from DAZN and SKY for the right to screen Serie A matches for the next five seasons in Italy, two sources told Reuters.
According to one of the sources, 17 out 20 clubs voted in favour of the deal.
Serie A clubs gathered in Milan on Monday to review offers tabled by streaming services DAZN and SKY, which the sources said amounted to some 900 million euros per year until the end of the 2028/2029 season.
