SPRINGFIELD, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A half a dozen Juveniles in Calhoun County were taken into custody Thursday morning, August 10 for their involvement in a breaking and entering incident.
Deputies with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office were called out to Dare Products Incorporated at 860 Betterly Road in Springfield to respond to the breaking and entering call just after 6 a.m.
Authorities say employees were opening the business for the day when they observed six suspected juveniles in and around the secured area of the building. Deputies were able to immediately detain one juvenile located inside of the business while the other five fled on foot.
Officers from the Battle Creek Police Department and Michigan State Police then joined Sheriff’s deputies on a search of the outlying area where they located and detained the remaining five juvenile subjects.
