PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Portage Rotary Club is set to present its 31st Community Service Award to City of Portage Mayor Patricia M. Randall.
According to the Portage Rotary website, the annual Community Service Award is given to a member of the Portage community who has consistently and regularly made the Portage community a better place to live by his/her unselfish volunteerism.
Portage Rotary President, Emily Turner cited Randall’s stewardship of the capital campaign for the Portage Senior Center.
“Her leadership on this project raised awareness in both public and private sectors, a strategic collaboration which resulted in the joint funding of an $11 million project that has reshaped the Portage City Center and paved the way for future development and engagement of our growing senior demographic,” said Turner.
Randall has served as Mayor since 2017.
The award presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 10 at 12 pm at the Portage Zhang Senior Center at 203 East Centre Avenue.
