LANSING, MI — A 24-year-old employee of Alliance Interiors in Delta Township, just west of Lansing, was killed in a workplace accident earlier this week.
The male employee, who hasn’t been identified, got caught in a piece of machinery at the auto supplier just after 11 p.m. Monday and died at an area hospital. The man was crushed between an extended conveyor and vacuum forming mold that he had been cleaning with solvents, according to a preliminary MIOSHA report filed Tuesday.
Eaton County Sheriff’s Office and EMS responded to the scene in the 45-hundred block of West Mt. Hope Highway. MIOSHA is continuing its investigation into the employee’s death.
Alliance Interiors produces interior moldings for the automotive sector.
