LANSING, MI — Masking up will become optional next week at McLaren Greater Lansing.
About a dozen other Michigan health systems have announced similar plans, including Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Except for some specialized or critical care units, masks will become optional in public areas of the hospitals on Monday, April 17.
The hospitals say the use of vaccines, the falling number of COVID-19 hospitalizations and advancements in treatment prompted the change.
