LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 30-year-old Three Rivers man had to be rescued from the frigid waters of a river in the area of South River and Noah Lake Roads on Thursday night.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says their deputies responded at 7:21 p.m. on a report of a vehicle into the river.
The St. Joseph County Dive and Rescue Team were called in and they were able to rescue the man who was not injured.
Through the investigation by the Sheriff’s Department, it was found the driver lost control, left the road and drove into the river.
The vehicle was removed from the river by Brokers Towing. The St. Joseph County Dive team was assisted at the scene by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol and Michigan State Police Troopers from the Marshall Post.
