Menards is local drop site for food pantries in March

LANSING, MI — Nearly one in six people in Mid-Michigan faces food insecurity. That means some 92,000 residents across mid-Michigan lack consistent access to food, according to local health officials. 

Local Menard home improvement stores are serving as a drop site for local food pantries through the month of March. Menards has locations in Lansing, Jackson and Ionia.

The stores offer a wide variety of non-perishable food items, from boxes of cereal to cans of soup, that may be purchased in-store for immediate donation, according to a press release.
