LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A search warrant in St. Joseph County has resulted in the arrest of multiple people on drug and firearm charges.
St. Joseph County Sheriff’s deputies executed the warrant in the 18000 block of South River Road in Lockport Township on Sunday.
On scene, deputies located and seized a large amount of methamphetamine as well as firearms inside of the residence. Deputies also located a male suspect wanted for a homicide in Kalamazoo County.
In total, 14 people were arrested and lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail.
As a result of the investigation, deputies satisfied 12 warrants and plan to seek 25 new felony charges to include operating and maintaining a drug house, possession with intent to deliver narcotics along with several firearm charges.
Assisting agencies include the St. Joseph County Special Response Team, St. Joseph County Corrections, Great Lakes Drone Company, 5th District MSP ES Team, and St. Joseph County Central Dispatch.
