BANGOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A search warrant executed by the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Department of Homeland Security has led to the rescue of dozens of animals.
Authorities searched a house on 50th Street in Columbia Township near Bangor Monday night. A number of farm animals were found dead and Van Buren deputies say live animals didn’t have access to food or water.
About 45 animals were rescued including dogs and cats, chickens, ducks, goats and a horse. An investigation is ongoing.
