DETROIT, MI — General Motors is taking the initiative to begin installing as many as 40-thousand electric vehicle charging stations in rural parts of the United States, including many right here in Michigan.
The automaker, who has been aggressive in its launch of EV, will have them at parks, athletic venues, and shopping districts where drivers might park their car for a few hours. There are currently 43-thousand charging stations in the U.S., but many more are needed. Michigan has said its goal is to have as many as 2 million EVs on the road by 2030.
