LANSING, MI — The Salvation Army – Lansing Capital Area is currently seeking volunteer bell ringers for the 2022 Christmas season. The nonprofit hopes the community’s can help meet its $950,000 fundraising goal.
Bell ringing will continue through Saturday, December 24th, excluding Sundays. The Salvation Army has to fill 8,270 hours of bell ringing shifts across over 20 kettle locations through Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties.
“Both the demand for our services and the need for public support represent huge challenges. This is a call for ‘all hands on deck.’ History has shown ours is a community that cares for each other and rises to meet the challenges of taking care of those in need,” said Major Jim Irvine, Lansing Capital Area Coordinator.
