SPRINGFIELD, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — – The City of Springfield is undergoing a 5-year master plan update for its parks and recreation facilities.
To get the process started, the city recently hired the consulting company, Viridis Design, to conduct a comprehensive park assessment that will assist with the creation of the 2023-2028 Parks and Recreation Master Plan. And now city officials are seeking input from the public.
The community is encouraged to visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WD9LRKN to participate in the online survey.
The city is also set to host a Parks & Recreation Master Plan Kickoff Open House at city hall at 601 Avenue A, on Wednesday, November 2 at 6 p.m.
Officials say the event aims to provide an opportunity for the community to learn what a park master plan is, why one is needed, and how citizens can be involved in the input process.
