LANSING, MI — The Michigan National Guard will honor service members killed since September 11, 2001, during a tribute at the state Capitol in downtown Lansing on August 21.
The memorial will be from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, with speeches from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. from Governor Whitmer, U.S. Army Major General Paul D. Rogers, adjutant general and director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and state Senator Tom Barrett.
Project RELO co-founder Michelle Anschuetz will also speak and the names of the fallen will be read, according to a press release.
