Michigan students might need finance class to graduate

LANSING, MI — A bill would require all high school students to take a class in personal finance to graduate is headed to Governor Whitmer’s desk.

The bill passed the state House, 94-13, following revisions after passing on party lines six months ago in Lansing.

Representative Diana Farrington of Utica sponsored the bill and called it a “labor of love” during her time in Lansing.
