KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Since the 1960s, this juried show has featured work in all media to include drawing hundreds of entries from a 14-county region.
The KIA is set to celebrate the work of West Michigan’s artist community with an opening reception on Friday, May 20, from 6-8 p.m.
88 works were chosen from more than 300 entries, ranging from paintings, prints, and photos to mosaics, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, and mixed-media work.
The featured artists have the opportunity to be part of this revered show but also win awards including the People’s Choice Award, Helen Sheridan Memorial Grand Prize, and many others sponsored by community partners, donors, and organizations.
The KIA will live stream this year’s award ceremony via YouTube from 5-6 p.m. before the in-person reception and gallery opening.
