KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — After a two-year hiatus, the Historic Walks will return this summer for their nineteenth season.
These free public historic walks are typically held during the summer and fall around Kalamazoo.
Lasting about 90 minutes and ranging from 1.5 to 2 miles, the walks are planned and led by Lynn Houghton, Regional History Curator at the Zhang Legacy Collections Center at Western Michigan University and co-author of Kalamazoo Lost and Found.
Houghton has put together 107 different tours since 2002 and will be adding two new ones for 2022.
The walks are held on Friday mornings at 8:00 a.m. and Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
