KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — – Vintage in the Zoo and Kalamazoo Valley Community College have partnered to kick off the outdoor events season with Mallmart & Zoo Flea Vintage and Handmade Marketplace on Saturday, May 14.
The outdoor event will feature over 70 regional artisans and vintage vendors.
Merchants will line Anna Whitten Hall Plaza, Water Street, and the North Kalamazoo Walking Mall to offer everything from clothing to unique home goods and original artwork.
Since forming Vintage in the Zoo in 2017, founders Megan Zielke and Patrick Turner have an established calendar of similar events in Kalamazoo and most recently in Grand rapids, and are looking forward to kicking off Kalamazoo events for 2022.
“We are excited to be back in Downtown Kalamazoo for this event, since it’s the perfect venue to host all of these amazing vendors,” said Zielke. “The best part about these events is that people of all ages can enjoy the atmosphere and shopping experience. Having all of the local restaurants and storefronts also available to them is an added bonus.”
Mallmart & Zoo Flea Vintage and Handmade Marketplace will be held from 12 to 7 p.m. rain or shine, on Saturday, May 14.
