KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — On Wednesday, May 11, Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Riverview Drive around 2:05 p.m. regarding 3 subjects with guns.
Officers arrived on scene and contacted the three subjects, two 15-year old’s and one 17-year-old, all Kalamazoo residents.
Officers initially confiscated two guns. The second 15-year-old fled on foot and was caught a short distance away after he discarded a gun as he was running away.
All three juveniles were lodged at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home for weapons charges.
