LANSING, MI — You can score a deal on a new furry friend this week during the Empty the Shelter event at the Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter (ICACS) in Mason.
The BISSEL Pet Foundation is stepping up to contribute money to partly cover adoption fees, which means adult dog adoptions are only $25 and adult cat adoptions are just $10.
The special event, which includes more than 275 shelters across 40 states, runs now through Sunday May 8. The Capital Area Humane Society facility, located just west of the Capital Region International Airport, is also participating in the Empty the Shelters event.
