BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police are searching for suspects in a shooting that sent a man to the hospital on Friday, April 29.
Authorities say it happened around 4:30 p.m. when officers found a 38-year-old Battle Creek resident with a gunshot wound to the abdomen in the first block of West Goguac Street.
According to police, the suspects had already left the scene before they arrived, and that the suspects and victim knew each other and that the shooting was a result of a dispute.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and police believe at this point that there is no threat to the public.
