LANSING, MI — The Michigan Department of Transportation is covering up a few typos on road side signs on Interstate 96 in Ottawa County west of Grand Rapids.
MDOT Spokesman Nick Schirripa says the mistakes were found over the weekend where Grand Rapids was spelled “Grand Radips” on a sign near 48th Avenue, and two signs at the ramp to and from 68th Avenue say “Cooperville” instead of Coopersville.
Schirripa says they will figure out who made the mistakes, but adds they were just on three signs of hundreds that were replaced as part of a springtime upgrade across the state.
