LANSING, MI — General Motors says it will close an auto plant in Lansing temporarily. GM is canceling production at its Grand River assembly plant just south of downtown Lansing next week.
GM says the issue shutting down the plant in Lansing next week is a “temporary parts shortage” and is not connected to the global microchip shortage, according to media partner WLNS TV6 in Lansing.
Production at the plant is expected to resume on April 11.
